Turn Your Resolutions Into Clean Water!

Happy New Year from the Healing Waters Team!

At Healing Waters we love the start of a new year. Full of possibility and excitement, it gives us the opportunity to look ahead and dream big, which is exactly what we’ve done. And this year we’re pretty excited about our New Year’s resolutions…

As an organization, our New Year’s resolution is to reach over fifty new communities with clean water and health & hygiene education. We know that’s a big number, but with your support and the help of our strategic partners, we believe it is possible!

Contrary to the idea that New Year’s resolutions are just empty goals set and broken within the first few weeks of January, the word “resolution” is actually defined as “firmness of purpose”. We want to start this year very firm in our purpose to help end the global water crisis by providing clean water and health & hygiene education to the people that need it most. We want to do our part to help every at-risk community gain access to safe water, no matter how marginalized or hard to reach. We want to see communities thrive physically, socially and spiritually. That is why we’re so excited about 2016, and that is why we’re aiming high.

However, this year we were feeling so inspired that we didn’t want to just stop there. So we came together as a team and decided that this year we want to make our personal resolutions about more than just ourselves. And that got us thinking…

Why not use our individual resolutions to benefit others as well as ourselves? What if by making a better choice for ourselves, we could make a difference in someone else’s life? Better yet, why can’t we turn our resolutions into clean water?

The answer: we can! To do this, we created the Resolution Challenge. Each of us has chosen an individual goal not only to better ourselves, but to also help raise money and awareness for clean water and health & hygiene education. From doing 10,000 pushups to drinking more water, we are asking our friends and family to support our resolutions so that we can not only stick to them, but also turn them into clean water for 500 people!

However, we don’t want to just tell you about our resolutions, we want you to join us! All you have to do is visit our Resolutions page to choose your goal, set up your own page and then send it out to your friends and family to let them know how they can support you. It’s as simple as that.

Over the next four weeks we’re going to introduce you to each member of our headquarters team and have them share their resolution and how it can be turned into clean water. We hope it gives you better insight into who we are and why we do what we do, as well as inspires you to stand firm in the resolution of your choosing.

So this year, why not get in shape AND help a community get healthy? Why not read more AND give girls the chance to quit collecting water and attend school? Why not drink those 8 glasses of water a day AND give a developing community the chance to access safe water?

Why not turn your resolution into clean water?

We’re on a mission to end the global water crisis. We build holistic clean water solutions and spread God’s love in at-risk communities around the world, empowering people not just to survive, but to thrive – physically, socially and spiritually.
